Dan Butler spent nearly a decade as a Colorado prosecutor, including roles as a Deputy District Attorney, a County Court Supervisor at a District Attorney’s Office, and Assistant Director of Prosecution and Code Enforcement at the Denver City Attorney’s Office. He now uses that experience for the other side.
Price Criminal Defense is the criminal defense practice of Price Family Law, LLC, a Denver firm serving Colorado clients since 2022. We are not a volume shop. We take on a limited number of criminal cases so that every client gets an attorney who knows the details of their file, answers the phone, and treats the outcome like it matters personally.

Meet Daniel Butler
Before defending clients, Dan Butler spent a decade prosecuting and supervising prosecutors in Denver and Durango, learning and writing the playbook from the inside.
A Boston University School of Law graduate, Dan built his career as a Deputy District Attorney and later an Assistant Director of Prosecution for the City of Denver—handling everything from DUI and assault to domestic violence and theft cases. Today, he puts that same insider strategy to work defending you.

Dan regularly appears in Denver County Court and Denver District Court at the Lindsey-Flanigan Courthouse, and we take cases throughout the Front Range.
